Our drive from Alamogordo to Datil. We were headed to Flagstaff, Az, and had to stop somewhere for a week. Datil ended up being an incredibly, beautiful place to stop. We'll never forget it and it was one of our favorites!! You'll see why when you look at the pictures. Our hikes were unbelievable and we made many unforgettable memories. We were here in May.
Datil Well Campground:The first morning we awoke to pouring snow. It was beautiful, but quite a drastic change from the 80 degree weather we'd had the day before in Alamogordo. We enjoyed it though, got out our snow gear and went hiking! It was beautiful and it snowed lightly and intermittently throughout the day. By the next day or two the weather was back up in the 70s during the day and 30s at night. PERFECT!
