Twin Lakes Campground

We just returned from Twin Lakes Campground in Clemson, SC! This was a good time to try out our new camper. We had only been camping in it once before and we had some minor problems. We wanted to make sure that everything was up and running smoothly before we start out on a long journey. Sure enough everything was great! We spent 6 nights there and didn't have any problems, but we weren't expecting any either. ;)
We thoroughly enjoyed getting the chance to meet another couple who are also camping full-time, Jim and Lenora. It was good to talk to them and listen to places they have been and enjoyed! They said they really enjoyed Arizona and stayed there 4 months! Wow! How awesome! Thanks Jim and Lenora for sharing your stories with us! Happy traveling!

We were actually somewhat busy while camping. We went to Hunter and Christian's football game Saturday, took Hunter to his biology class Monday afternoon and went to a bible study with our friends and ministers in West Union on Monday night. We are all exhausted and will have to be up and ready in the morning to travel again. We need to visit some relatives before we travel further. Steve said it's a good thing he retired so that we could relax! Ha, ha!

Last week we applied for passports for the children. The day before we went to apply Steve spent 3 hours filling out the paper work and getting everything (birth certificates) together. Hopefully we'll have our passports soon. We will eventually need them to travel through Canada to Alaska.
We hope you enjoy the photos. There are not very many this time, but hopefully we'll do better on our next travels!
We will be in the car a lot the next several days. We would appreciate your prayers!

Then we will be off again to our next destination. Our plans for the next several weeks are busy with traveling so we should have a lot to write this month! ;)

House under contract!

It's official! We have a contract on our home! Our closing date is weeks and weeks away, but that's okay because it just gives us more time to prepare for further travels. We are very happy with the family that is buying our home. They seem like such a nice family and they're in the military too. Yes, they BOTH are, the wife too! We are so thankful to them for serving our country.
I'm sure that they're going to love it here as we have. It seems strange to leave too though. It is different than when you have a home on a small lot or land because we have put so much into this land. Plants, trees, bushes, flowers, fruit trees and an above ground garden. In some ways it is amazing that we're leaving, but I find comfort in knowing God has something better. He's got more for us and the children! So that is what we put our focus on! That and the answer to prayer that our house is under contract!
Thank You Father for another wonderful day in You!

Good news!

Good news!! It looks as if we will be signing a contract on our home today! Perfect timing! Steve's last day of work is this Friday! Yeah! We are so thrilled! Once we have everything moved out of the house this next week we will start on the road! The adventure we've been waiting for! We plan on staying in our area until early summer. Our boys have football and a few other commitments to finish up before we leave to go far. Then we plan to head north to visit some friends! We'll keep up posted as to the whereabouts of our travels.
Thank you so much to those of you who have been praying for our home to sell. Please pray that the next step of paperwork and inspections goes successfully and that we close on time.
Stop by often as we will be blogging a lot more often now and sharing our great adventures on the road!
