St. Marys, Ga. H: 50s L: 30s

We left Lake Hartwell on Monday. We stayed at Fort Stewart for that one night, then we were off again in the morning. It was raining lightly, but the rain was forecasted to get hard in the afternoon so we left early. After only 1 1/2 hours of driving we arrived in St. Marys. We are staying on the Naval base here and it is near the coast. It is a really great campground. Saint Marys downtown is quaint and historical. As you can see in the photos the rain has cleared and the warm sun is shining. Quite a change from our snow photos.

South Carolina; Lake Hartwell State Park; H: 40s L: 20s

We drove to South Carolina for a couple of days. The snow was still here when we arrived. This park is absolutely beautiful this time of year. The evergreen trees are showing off amid the sparse deciduous trees. It also is awesome that we're practically the only campers here. We get the whole campground to ourselves. It's very peaceful and very, very quiet! We've seen a bird here that we've never seen before. Haven't been able to get a photo of him yet though, but he's gorgeous!

We're very much looking forward to going out west again, but we're waiting on the winter weather to leave and warmer weather to arrive before we head that way. Monday we head to Florida.

Gatlinburg, Tn

A few more photos of the Christmas decorations in downtown Gatlinburg, most of them at night.

Pigeon Forge, Tn

Here are a few photos of our snow from yesterday.

These are rental cabins that are across from our campground. The ones at the top of the hill have a nice view and lots of them are on a creek. The children had a great time yesterday sledding down the big hill.

This one is for sale, so I was able to take a close photo. Most of these cabins are empty right now, but it sure would be nice to be staying in one with all the snow!
