Crescent Beach in St. Augustine area

Here we stumbled upon a park called Fort Matanzas National Monument. Here in the parking area was a male and female owl with their babies in the nest! Below are photos of the owl and the fort. We rode a ferry boat to the island where the old, Spanish fort still sits. We love stumbling upon these educational and interesting places, especially when they're free!

It was very cold on top of the fort! If we'd been prepared for it though it wouldn't have seemed so cold, but it was very windy and that made it worse! Also the sun was not out this day. We were happy to get inside the fort/castle, so that we could be a little warmer.
