Naval Station Mayport; H: 60s-70s L: 40-50s

Really nice weather today.

This is a fire training school. Four years ago when we were here, we saw the sailors putting out fire on this building. It is built just like the ships, so they can train how to put fires out quickly while on board ship.

Christian went fishing, but the wind was so bad the hook got caught on the rocks. He plans to try again tomorrow.

Patrick Air Force Base

It was pretty warm/hot here, but at least it didn't rain much, if any.

Spent about an hour at the beach one day. Thought that Faith's footprints would make a cute photo!

Patrick Air Force Base, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; H: 80s L: 60s

Here are a few photos of near St. Petersburg, Fl. We drove to here one day as we were sightseeing the area while in Bradenton for a conference.

On our route to the air force base we passed this beautiful cruise ship docked in a harbor.
We went one day to the beach:

Waiting for the space shuttle, Discovery, to take off.

Watching the space shuttle ascend!

We saw dolphins almost daily in the bay.

Dead horse shoe crab.

We saw this incredible, sunset every night for a week!

Crescent Beach in St. Augustine area

Here we stumbled upon a park called Fort Matanzas National Monument. Here in the parking area was a male and female owl with their babies in the nest! Below are photos of the owl and the fort. We rode a ferry boat to the island where the old, Spanish fort still sits. We love stumbling upon these educational and interesting places, especially when they're free!
