Guernsey, Wyoming

We visited this area at the end of June until after the 4th of July. This area gets very high winds, especially in the winter. We had several enormous clouds circle around this campground, but it barely ever rained. They said the mountain caused the rain to swirl around this area and usually it would miss them.
Guernsey does get snow in the winter. They'll have a snowstorm leaving a foot of snow on the ground or have a blizzard, but within a few days it's gone.
It was pretty hot while we were there at this time of year, but low humidity and usually a nice breeze.



Our 2 oldest sons were here for their Civil Air Patrol Encampment. They had a blast and we all enjoyed a very, very nice Independence Day! The small town of Guernsey had several festivities going on daily throughout the week. We participated in some of them and it was great!
The Friday before the 4th we enjoyed an outdoor movie in the park, FREE, and free popcorn!
